How it works
From your voice to a printed prescription
Five simple steps. OWL does the typing and organising; you check and confirm everything.
The flow at a glance
- 1
You dictate
Speak the prescription in your own words. - 2
Speech becomes text
OWL converts what you said into text. - 3
OWL fills the form
Patient, diagnosis, medicines and instructions go into the right fields. - 4
You review and confirm
Nothing is final until you confirm it. - 5
Save and print
The prescription is saved and a PDF is created.
Step by step
What happens at each step
Step 1
You dictate
Speak the prescription in your own words.
Open the patient, tap record and dictate as you normally would: complaints, diagnosis, medicines with dose and duration, tests and advice.
There is no fixed script to learn.
Step 2
Speech becomes text
OWL converts what you said into text.
You can read the text and correct any word that was misheard.
The audio is used to create this text.
Step 3
OWL fills the form
Patient, diagnosis, medicines and instructions go into the right fields.
Each medicine is placed on its own line with dose, frequency and duration.
Anything that is missing or unclear is left for you to fill in.
Step 4
You review and confirm
Nothing is final until you confirm it.
Check every field, change what you need and add anything OWL missed.
OWL does not diagnose or recommend treatment. The prescription is yours.
Step 5
Save and print
The prescription is saved and a PDF is created.
Print the PDF for the patient or keep it for your records.
The prescription appears in the patient’s history for the next visit.
Clear limits
What OWL does not do
OWL is a documentation assistant. The clinical decisions are always yours.
- It does not diagnose or suggest treatment.
- It does not save a prescription you have not confirmed.
- It does not send prescriptions to pharmacies or other systems.
